Munich Conference Simulation
In the spring of 1938, British and French prime ministers Neville Chamberlain and Edouard Daladier attend a meeting in Munich Germany with Nazi leader Adolf Hitler to discuss terms that would hopefully stop a war from happening between the countries. The agreement, know as the Munich Pact, did stop the outbreak of war between the countries, but it gave Czechoslovakia away to Germany. This move of appeasement did not stop the Nazi government from seeking more territory as it was hoped. In 1939, Poland will be invaded by the Germans and WW2 will begin.
Our class will conduct a simulation of this meeting to attempt to see if a different outcome can be reached.
